Description: The picture is of a wall opening, we can see the trimmer studs and the header -the rigid insulation is cut around it. The rim joist is filled in with concrete and so ar the spaces between the studs. The concrete is meant to add a higher loadbering capacity. Concrete Masonry blocks are cored, these in the picture are just plain. Have space for horizontal reinforcing bars and grout. CMU masonry much cheaper, typical 8x8x16. Can be lifted an laid with two hands

Description: Through the window here we can see through to the roof. The roof is being framed with lumber.
